ABOUT US

The Cape Companies

The Cape Companies is a private real estate investment and development firm that develops, owns, and operates residential real estate in select markets throughout the United States. We seek to make a positive impact on the communities in which we invest by providing thoughtfully designed housing that enhances the living experience for our residents and compliments the immediate surrounding built environment.

OUR STRATEGY

The Cape Companies

The Cape Companies investment strategy is centered around identifying and capitalizing on opportunities that exhibit inherent demand with limited to no supply or competition. Our firm builds reasoned, contrarian viewpoints following in depth macro- and micro-economic analyses to identify the markets that exhibit these characteristics.

Driven By Opportunity

Our Verticals

  • Single-Family Residential

Cape Residential, the residential development arm of The Cape Companies, develops and builds single-family rental communities as well as single-family for-sale communities across the Southeastern United States. We identify opportunities in our target markets that match our investment strategy and take our projects from raw land to lease-ready and sale-ready homes. Our communities are well located, showcasing high-quality homes and amenity spaces that give tenants and homeowners alike a true sense of place.

  • Multifamily Residential

The Cape Companies acquires and develops both market-rate and affordable multifamily real estate. We are guided by our investment strategy of seeking supply constrained markets for new market-rate developments, however we also acquire existing market-rate assets opportunistically. Additionally, our experience and ability to navigate various local and state programs for soft funding sources allows us to compile attractive capital stacks that create both compelling investment opportunities and high-quality affordable housing options in markets that have a significant need, particularly in Massachusetts.
